Update to our service in response to the COVID-19 outbreak in the UK

Following the March 23rd 2020 update from the Government, our Sight Support centre and office is now closed.
We are still here to support our members, but for the time being our staff will be working from home.
Our priority is to keep our community safe, but we are still contactable by phone or email to provide support or advice if needed.
If you have low or impaired vision or are registered blind, and are alone and in difficulty as a result of the current pandemic, please get in touch and we will endeavour to do our very best to help if we can.
We will continue to monitor the situation from Public Health England, the NHS and of course the Government, and will reinstate normal activities as soon as it is safe and permissible to do so.
In the meantime, please follow official guidance to stay at home and reduce in-person contact as much as possible.
Stay home & stay safe,
The Sight Support Worthing Team

The offices are currently still open and we are contactable by telephone on the usual number 01903 235782.

As a guide dog owner I rely on being able to hear cars to judge when it’s safe to cross the road. It’s terrifying to cross when you’re unable to hear quiet hybrid and electric vehicles. Ensuring all quiet vehicles have sound generating systems installed and switched on would ensure that millions of people, like me, who are living with sight loss, would be protected from the growing safety hazard.
